• Iran Becomes Self-sufficient in the Production of Anodic Protection at ISTT

  • May 1, 2019

One of the resident start-up companies at Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT), Newsaad Sanat Part Co., has developed the reference electrodes used in anodic protection systems in collaboration with Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex. This production has led to the partial self sufficiency of the Iranian production industry.

Because of the recent delays as a result of international sanctions in the supply of electrodes used in anodic protection systems at Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex, this self- sufficiency has been met with much enthusiasm as it creates independency for the country from imports.

Corrosion is one of the main causes for breakdowns in sulfuric acid production lines and as such anodic protection systems play a vital role in safeguarding production lines from going out of order.

In short anodic protection comes from the creation of superficial protective coatings over metals with the use of an anode current and thus, Newsaad Sanat Part Co. has been able to duplicate this process for Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex without the need to import the parts from abroad.

Newsaad Sanat Part Co. is a resident company of ISTT. Its main field of activity is based on surface engineering, but by taking into consideration the needs and requirements of different domestic industries and new global developments in technology, it has developed its activities into cladding and coating, plating and Electro polishing.
